During the year 1996, KVK started to implement different projects to achieve the vision set based on the local problems and needs.  Different missions have been planned and implemented by KVK with the financial support of different institutions.  Projects have been prepared based on PRA survey of villages, needs of farming community and scope for different enterprises to be established in villages.  Total 146 villages were covered by implementation of projects activities benefiting total 12018 farmers from the project directly and 10310 beneficiaries through formation of groups of youth and women. Different instructional cum demonstration units like vermicompost production, bakery, fruit processing, spirulina production, bio pesticides and botanical pesticides preparation, bio fertilizers production, soil testing laboratory, poultry, nursery were established at KVK for training and demonstration purposes. Supporting staffs have been appointed for implementation of project activities and demonstration units.  Due to these projects, KVK was able to get 20 to 25 additional staffs.  These project staff has helped in increasing outreach of KVK activities on wider area. Through HRD, the KVK’s technical staffs have undergone trainings on different technologies like spirulina production, bio pesticides and bio fertilizers production, bakery and fruit processing at different national level research institutes. This has helped to develop new skills among the staff and transfer these innovative technologies among the farming community.
